Since it first joined the airwaves in 1983 LGR\\\'s primary aim has been to fulfil the needs and aspirations of London\\\'s 300,000 strong Greek community. LGR\\\'s success stems from its established and varied audience base, which includes numerous listeners from the Arab, Armenian, Italian, Jewish, Spanish, Turkish Cypriot and Maronite Cypriot communities. Transmitting 24 hours a day. In May 1994, LGR\\\'s licence was renewed and extended to broadcast 24 hours a day from its prestigious North London studios. A team of dedicated and professional people work very hard to ensure the station\\\'s success. Using state-of-the-art technology we ensure quality FM transmission. Fully equipped on-air studios ensure high quality broadcasts and the wide variety of programmes are designed to appeal to all age groups while catering for the exciting lifestyle of one of the most prosperous communities in London. We offer music, phone-ins, regular news bulletins, current affairs, as well as educational and cultural programmes. In addition, we provide invaluable local community information such as sport, business, travel and weather reports. The new look of LGR web site was launched in May 2006 which precipitated a greater interest among listeners on what the station has to offer. On average 70,000 unique visitors per month – more than 2,000 per day - get into the site. The areas which generated more visitors were the home page, listening live, competitions, music news and events.
